The American Psychological Association Style Guide (APA Style) is a set of stylistic rules and guidelines for academic writing that originated with the American Psychological Association but which have been adopted by many other academic disciplines. APA style is a common set of academic formatting rules in the social sciences (psychology, sociology, anthropology, criminology, etc.), education, and many other disciplines.
