Eastern Michigan University feels strongly that all students benefit from expanding their academic studies with learning that transcends the walls of the classroom. With that in mind, Learning Beyond the Classroom (LBC) requirements were added to the General Education program. The spirit of LBC is to provide students exposure and opportunities to university and community experiences (programs, people, departments), which both reinforce course objectives and LBC outcomes.

A complete listing of LBC options can be found in the LBC Student Manual on the General Education website.
