All instructors in the First-Year Writing Program are encouraged to hold one-on-one and/or small group conferences throughout the semester.  Generally, conferencing with students upon returning the first major project (or soon thereafter) reinforces points of instructional emphasis and may also help set goals, establish expectations, foster good will, and provide encouragement.
